Overweight? Feeling like you should get off the couch? Look, for most of us, being overweight is not a choice, but a state of being. Each of us certainly has different body chemistry and differing metabolism. When I was a kid, my metabolism was so high, I couldn’t gain weight to save my life. Today, mid 40’s… different story.

Regardless of your situation, however, I’ve discovered the fastest way to lose weight and really the easiest way to lose weight permanently. Today, instead of fretting over which doughnut to buy, I opt for which apple to grab, when I am on a road trip. Instead of just changing the channel during commercials, I do some stretching and some push ups or planks.

But those are just a few of the things I’ve changed in my life to lose weight quickly, or more accurately – burn fat fast!

You can too, if you know the basics and a few secrets. Oh, and you can say “good-bye” to long hours on the treadmill and endless other boring cardio workouts, too.

The Basics:

Foods To Lose Weight – Eating the right things is required to lose weight quickly and permanently. Here are some of my favorites now that I’ve turned my body into a fat burning furnace.

Fruits and veges. No surprise here – strawberries, apples, tomatoes, watermelon, lettuce and cantaloupe, to name a few.
Whole grains. High fiber cereals made from whole grains are especially important. Whole wheat bread (made from whole wheat flour – check the label) terrific.
Legumes. Beans if you will.

Cardio To Lose Weight Quickly – Most would argue with me on this one, but seriously, have you really continued to lose weight after months of the same cardio workouts?

NO you haven’t.

That’s because it doesn’t work after a while. So instead of spending an hour on a treadmill with 30 of your favorite sweaty friends at the gym, try to get your cardio workout built in.

Say what? You heard me… Build your cardio workout into your weight lifting workout and you’ll get more than twice the impact than just doing simple cardio… mile after mile.

Lose Weight Quickly With Weight Lifting – Simple really. Muscle burns calories for up to 48 hours after a strenuous workout. And muscle burns calories much more effectively that fat does. So, building muscle mass – no you don’t need to be a body builder – gets your metabolism in shape and help to turn your body into a fat burning furnace.
