Question by Kavasa: I need some tips for losing fat, building some muscle?
I am no dummy when it comes to working out. But, unfortunately after getting married and working a desk job for over a year, I easily put on 20 pounds.
Ideally I would like to lose about 30 pounds to get to my ideal weight, which is 120. I am 5′2″. I looked good @ 130, but would like to lose a bit more body fat. *I do know that muscle weighs more than fat.
I am aware of the proper methods of working out– low weight/high reps, cardio, stretching, etc. But, am I missing something?
Also, what can I incorporate into my diet to help with the process? I am on the fence with eggs– I’ve heard good and bad things, so I eat them about once a week. I recently cut soda out of my diet (almost completely) and avoid eating before bed.
It’s funny for me to ask about this because I’m usually the one giving advice on the topic! But, I am always open to learning more.
And a side note: I want to do this the healthy way, so please no suggestions on diet pills or crash/fad diets!
Just to summarize, I weigh 150 right now, not 120!
Also, I do have a gym membership and try to go at least 3 days a week, but don’t always make it.
