Hey Steve u r great, please answer because only u can.. How is it possible or was always possible for bodybuilders to gain muscle and not fats?? I would really like to know.. Because I wanna lose some fats but not muscles.. Please anwser…
The reason why is because inorder to lose fat I need to create a calorie deficit of around 300-400 per day, and if I do that how can I gain muscles? By taking high protein? Or should I just take equal calories as I burn and start low carbs??

Great advice, as always. Speaking of Olympian athletes. When Micheal Phelps won his medals, I kept hearing on the news that he ate about 8,000 – 10,000 calories a day. Just out of curiosity, did you know people who’d say, “Well, I exercised a lot yesterday, so I treated myself to a whole pizza/double bacon cheeseburger/(whatever), because Michael Phelps does the same.”
@oreovictim Most people are like that because they think they burn so many calories from exercise. And Michael P doesn’t eat 10,000 calories a day.

Very imformative. I think you highlight one of the biggest obstacles to weight loss – the anxiety of losing weight. Its not as hard as people think. I lost 80 pounds over 2 years by simply having a good diet (not a punishing one) and walking at a fast pace for 30 mins, 6 days a week. You’re doing excellent work spreading this imformation.

Do more cardio(biking,running,swiming…) everyday and eat better! thats the magic thing.Thats the big secret, cardio eat better!

im confused, in the beginning you said stuff about 50 extra calories and then you gain weight. How do you figure out what your “budget” calorie intake is? And then also, you said to burn 500 calories a day to lose a lb a week. burn 500 calories from what “budget”?

my question is about 6 pack abs im taking in 800-1200 calories a day everyday and i walk for 1 hour and i do some crunches about 60 a day u say that all u have to do is watch the total number of calories u eat and that is all that matters but can ur metabolism stop if you dont eat enough? and i was wondering if no how long do you think it would take me to lose enough weight to get abs im 5″7 and 3/4ths and weigh right at 190 lbs… also how much weight can i expect to lose in 3 months? thanks
hey i couldnt type all of what i wanted to know in that one paragraph so i was sending an additional one as well u seem to be the most informative person ive listened to ive never been in great shape and im really giving it a shot this time around i just wanted to know could i lose 30 pounds in 3 months doing what i described to you? and if ijust do walking and dieting is that enough to get abs i have asthma and its hard to jog for me i would appreciate anything you could helpmebetterunderstand
